stephanie klockow 150 by 197 72Stephanie Klockow is in her 20th year teaching choral music in Wisconsin. She received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from UW-Madison in 1992 with a double major in voice and piano, having studied with Robert Fountain, David Hottman and Ellen Burmeister. She earned her Master of Education degree in 2009 from Mount Mary College. 

After serving a year as associate director of choirs and music education specialist at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, Mrs. Klockow has returned to Hartford Union High School where she began teaching in 1998. Under her direction, the choirs at Hartford Union High School have performed numerous times at WMEA and WCDA state conferences and travelled extensively throughout the United States. In a tradition going back more than thirty years, the Concert Choir and its alumni sing the Midnight Mass at the Basilica of Holy Hill every Christmas Eve.

Mrs. Klockow is a member of the Wisconsin Music Educators Association and the American Choral Directors Association and has served on the WSMA Honors Choir Staff. She is active as a clinician, church musician, and adjudicator throughout Wisconsin. In November, 2010 she conducted the High School Treble Choir for Singing in Wisconsin in Waukesha. Mrs. Klockow continues to perform with the Heartland Singers, a private, professional chorus of 32 musicians from Wisconsin and Iowa, and within her church and community. 

The All-State Middle Level Choir will perform in Shattuck Auditorium at Carroll University on Saturday, January 14 at 4:30 p.m.

The All-State Middle Level Choir will consist of 175 singers from grades 7 and 8.
Each director may submit up to 6 names. The singers should be ranked from 1-6, with 1 being the most qualified. Equal numbers of girl and boy nominees are preferred but not absolutely necessary. Boys with lower voices are always in demand.

The Application period, November 1 to November 15, has ended.

By November 29
The All-State Choir Committee will send Letters of Acceptance via email.

UPON ACCEPTANCE: You will receive an email with attachments containing a Registration Form, rehearsal notes, schedule, housing and other details.

By December 9
Return Registration Form(s) and the non-refundable Registration Fee of $125.00/student, postmarked by December 9. This fee includes Friday night's lodging, three meals, concert music, transportation to rehearsals and concert, All-State Choir T-Shirt, and participation expenses. 

If you would like a Director’s Packet, you may order it on the Registration Form, and it will be sent to you with the students’ music.

REGISTRATION: The All-State Middle Level Choir will register on Friday, January 13, at the Milwaukee Marriot West, Waukesha, between 11:00–11:30 a.m. Rehearsals and activities will follow. Selected students must attend all scheduled activities on Friday and Saturday, January 13–14, up to and including the 4:30 p.m. performance of the Middle Level Choir. 

The All-State Concert begins at 4:00 p.m. and will conclude at 6:00 p.m. The Middle Level portion begins at 4:30 p.m.
